Rebuilt From The Ground Up
On the shores of Lake Michigan, this master-planned community in Muskegon, Michigan has been 22 years in the making. The architectural stylings are perfect for families, professionals, and senior adults, complementing Michigan's natural beauty.
This 31-acre residential community was planned by developer, Harbor 31, in collaboration with Henrickson Architecture, civil engineering by Paradigm Design, and Wolverine Building Group as the general contractor. The Harbor 31 development is located in Muskegon County along Muskegon Lake and just a short distance to Lake Michigan.
The property was previously home to Teledyne Continental Motors which made engines for tanks and aircraft during World War II. Teledyne Continental Motors closed the facility in 1991 and site cleanup began shortly thereafter. The property was then considered for the site of a tribal casino, but that proposal fell through. Then the $120 million redevelopment along Muskegon Lake was planned.
Located on the shores of Muskegon Lake in Muskegon Michigan, Harbor 31 will be home to approximately 155 market-rate apartments and townhouses as well as provide additional hotel, retail and office space, marina, boat sales/rentals, and senior living. H31 will incorporate the scale and materials of a traditional central business district in a contemporary architectural style.
Connectivity to Muskegon Lake is a key component of the Harbor 31 project. The Harbor 31 Marina will serve both residents of Harbor 31 and the general public. As part of this effort, the plan is to create an in-out boat storage and retail sales facility as an added amenity. Harbor 31 will bring additional residents and services to the rapidly growing downtown Muskegon market. The goal is to develop a project that will add to the reimagined shoreline and be a vital component of downtown Muskegon.
